The Top: A substantial, monolithic slab of authentic fossilized stone. The surface is a breathtaking natural tapestry — creamy ivory to warm beige, heavily pitted and porous, embedded with countless fossilized shells, scallops, and marine fragments. This is true coral stone / travertine fossil, not cast stone. Each cavity, each shell, each fossilized imprint is unique, creating a living, organic texture that is both ancient and modern. The edges are raw and roughly hewn, enhancing its primitive, architectural presence.

The Base: A superb hand-forged wrought iron console base. The ironwork is executed in the classic Spanish / French manner with intricate double C-scrolls, S-scrolls, twisted barley-twist supports, and hand-clasped joints. The finish is an exceptionally desirable time-worn patina — layers of original creamy white paint peeling to reveal rich rust, chocolate brown, and verdigris beneath. This is authentic distressed patina, not reproduction. The side panels, continue the scrolled motif, making the piece beautiful from all angles.

The heavy stone top is removable from the iron base, resting on its iron frame — a true artisan-made construction.
