A rare and enchanting pair of Bacchic mirrors, evoking the opulence of a Tuscan vineyard and the romance of 18th-century Venice.

Each mirror is a tour-de-force of artisanal craftsmanship, its frame composed of wildly twisting naturalistic grapevines, gnarled branches, and lush grape leaves that climb and intertwine to form a living arbor. Sumptuous clusters of grapes hang heavy from the canopy, gilded in brilliant gold leaf that glimmers against the ethereal silvered frame.

The frame is entirely hand-carved from wood and finished with an exquisite layered patina of silver gilt and polychrome — with hand-painted leaves in variegated shades of green and gold, creating a vibrant, trompe-l'œil effect of nature frozen in time. The original mirror plates show a soft, smoky foxing and age that adds immense character and depth.

The mirror has a beautiful "ghost effect" which adds to the beauty.
