A truly regal pair commanding presence, prestige, and Old World nobility, these Spanish Baroque throne armchairs are masterpieces of sculptural woodcraft.

Each chair features a high, upright back for dramatic stature, with arms terminating in magnificently hand-carved lion heads – symbol of courage and royalty – their manes flowing into acanthus-leaf scrollwork. The arm supports are adorned with deeply carved thistle and foliate motifs, showcasing the artisan’s devotion to detail.

The front stretcher is a tour-de-force: an elaborate pierced carving of scrolling acanthus, floral rosettes, and tied ribbon motifs, all in solid white oak with a soft, bleached cerused patina that highlights every grain and chisel mark. Massive paw-like scrolled feet with acanthus cuffs ground the design, while turned baluster legs and H-stretchers provide architectural strength.

Freshly reupholstered in a natural Belgian linen with aged brass nailhead trim, they are ready for immediate placement as statement dining captains, entry thrones, or fireside library chairs. The bleached oak finish is highly sought-after, aligning perfectly with current Alfonso Marina, and Dennis & Leen designer palettes, yet rooted in authentic 17th-century grandeur.
