A beautifully composed custom pillow by designer Melissa Levinson, created by combining an exceptional early 19th- to late 18th-century European tapestry fragment with rich contemporary materials. The antique tapestry panel features scrolling acanthus leaves and classical botanical motifs woven in muted tones of ochre, moss, taupe, and soft plum—an exquisite example of historic textile craftsmanship.
The tapestry is framed on both sides by a narrow vintage-style trim and set into a deep caramel-gold silk velvet, whose warmth and sheen emphasize the age and texture of the woven fragment. The pillow is finished with coordinating hand-tied tassel fringe along the vertical edges, adding movement, depth, and couture-level detail.
The back is upholstered in a complementary faded gold silk, giving the pillow a luxurious, fully finished presence. A premium down insert provides softness, loft, and an elegant silhouette.
