A magnificent antique French architectural console, born from a salvaged 19th-century Parisian balcony and elevated into an extraordinary statement console table.
The base is a tour-de-force of French blacksmith artistry: a rare, bombe-curved, cage-like balcony railing rendered in heavy hand-forged wrought iron. The facade is richly ornamented with a rhythmic sequence of four large double medallions, each centering a sculptural Fleur-de-Lis — the emblem of French royalty. The entire composition is interwoven with acanthus scrolls, twisted ropes, pinecone finials, and delicate butterflies, all showing a beautifully time-worn, authentic rust patina in blacks, umbers, and oxidized sienna that speaks of a century exposed to the Parisian elements.
The console is topped with a substantial, polished slab of natural fossilized beige marble with incredible organic movement in cream and mocha tones. The marble provides a luxurious and highly functional surface, creating a stunning contrast between the raw, rustic iron and refined stone.
