Hand-embroidered with exquisite gold metallic thread, bullion, purl and silk on a rich crimson silk velvet ground. Central medallion depicting Saint Cecilia (patron of music) crowned, holding her attribute - framed in an ornate cartouche with scrolling acanthus.

Surrounding border with profuse raised goldwork embroidery of stylized foliage, floral rosettes, and scrolling tendrils in couching technique. Finished with original antique gold metallic lace border and large bullion tassels with embroidered tops.
