19th Century French Rococo style white colored painted & parcel gilt table. The Rococo style flourished in Europe, particularly in France, during the early to mid 18th century. Rococo design is known for its ornate and intricate details of incorporating elements from nature such as shells, flowers, and leaves. The table stands on four cabriole legs which end in ornate rams head feet. The table features extensive use of gold leaf decoration, especially on the carvings and detail. A beautifully shaped marble top in neutral colors is inset on the top of the table. The finish is beautifully weathered with missing painted and gold leaf throughout.
