The frames feature hand-carved shells, acanthus leaves, and scrolling motifs, all highlighted with traces of original giltwood that have softly aged over time, giving the set a warm, authentic, timeworn character.

The wood surfaces exhibit a desirable distressed, layered finish—a mix of exposed carving, remnants of old paint and gilding, and natural wear consistent with age—creating the ideal antique look that designers love. The chairs rest on classic cabriole legs ending in scroll feet, each beautifully carved and unique.
