A striking round center table featuring a hand-painted top with a cartographic motif of the Eastern Hemisphere. The surface is decorated in the style of a Renaissance map, with detailed renderings of continents, seas, compass rose, sailing ships, and allegorical figures. The border is encircled with medallions depicting classical architecture, ships, and symbolic imagery, interspersed with stylized foliate designs. The painted top rests on a bold, fluted pedestal base with gilt accents, supported by a shaped plinth in a deep red finish with ball feet. The palette of antiqued greens, reds, and ochres gives the piece an Old World character, making it equally suitable as a statement in a library, study, or entry hall.
