These vintage Kuba cloth pillows are rich in texture, history, and cultural significance. Handcrafted from authentic African Kuba cloth, they feature bold geometric patterns in earthy tones of brown, tan, and black, with intricate appliqué and embroidery details. The fabric is traditionally woven from raffia palm fibers, giving it a unique, organic texture. Small white cowrie shells are sewn into the design, adding an extra layer of artisanal detail and symbolic value, as cowrie shells have historically been used as currency and decoration in African cultures. The backs of the pillows are made from a soft brown raw silk which coordinates beautifully with the front design.
