These European antique carved doors are an elegant pair, showcasing classic craftsmanship and historical charm. We recently purchased them from a Beverly Hills home where they resided for many years, They feature a rich, dark wood finish with a naturally aged patina that enhances their character. The design includes raised rectangular panels framed by subtle gold-gilded moldings, adding a touch of understated opulence. Vertical brass hardware, including keyholes and escutcheons, are visible, indicating traditional functionality. The hinges are mounted externally, consistent with old-world joinery methods. Their tall, narrow proportions and intricate paneling suggest they are French or Italian in origin, likely from the 18th or early 19th century.
