A finely carved polychrome and giltwood figure depicting a lively putti (cherub), shown in dynamic motion with one arm raised and the other curved across the chest. The youthful figure is rendered with delicately modeled features, softly painted flesh tones, and dark curled hair. The drapery is executed in rich water-gilt gold leaf, contrasting with the naturalistic flesh polychrome. The statue has been mounted on a lucite base for display.
