A spectacular Italian painted and giltwood chandelier, early 20th century, in the Baroque and Rococo revival taste. This large twelve-light fixture features a carved and turned central column with traces of original polychrome paint and parcel gilding, beautifully distressed to reveal layers of history. The richly textured surface shows areas of gilt sunburst and foliate motifs, lending depth and authenticity. Scrolled iron arms extend gracefully from the column, each terminating in carved wooden candle cups painted in soft shades of celadon and muted blue. The chandelier is further ornamented with suspended giltwood drops and bead elements, creating movement and an aged elegance. The overall composition is both rustic and regal—equally suited for a grand villa, château dining hall, or as a striking statement piece in a modern interior with Old-World contrast. The chandelier is newly rewired with real drip wax candle covers. It includes chain and canopy.
