Exceptional pair of antique French Louis XIII style armchairs, or sometimes referred to as a throne chairs. Typically, you might see these in oak or beech wood, but rarely would you find an antique Louis XIII style armchair, in a beautiful figured walnut. Beautiful intricate carvings throughout including carved plumed finials. The chairs are upholstered in 19th century metallic cut velvet textile combined with a nutmeg colored heavy designer wool textile.
