Pair of French Provincial style painted benches.  The seats are newly upholstered in a neutral Belgium linen, featuring a tufted design with buttons and accented by a row of decorative nailhead trim along the edges.  The bases are made of intricately carved wood with a distressed, weathered finish, blending shades of light blue, grey, and the brown wood underneath.

The legs are curved and crossed in an "X" shape, connected by a central stretcher.  The carvings on the wood include scrollwork and floral details, particularly on the top center of the base and the lower connecting elements.
