A beautifully timeworn Italian six-light chandelier featuring a carved wooden central body with remnants of its original polychrome finish in soft blues, warm ochres, and muted creams. The carving displays classic Baroque and early Italian provincial motifs—scrolls, stylized acanthus, and architectural forms softened by centuries of natural wear.
Six gracefully hand-forged gilt-metal arms extend from the carved center, each terminating in a carved wood candle cup with layers of historic paint and gilt surfacing peeking through. The patina is rich and complex, showing areas of exposed wood, traces of gilding, and beautifully weathered blue pigment—exactly the kind of authentic surface collectors seek.
The fixture is newly rewired with drip wax candle covers and includes chain & canopy.
