She began her business designing stunning, one-of-a-kind pillows. Each design, with hand chosen trims and antique textiles, speaking to a different time and place in history that have the ability to transform an entire space.
After earning her BA from UCSB, she returned to the town where she was born and raised to begin work in interior design. For ten years she learned from the best designers in the industry and quickly discovered her unerring, keen eye and a passion for antiques. When Melissa branched off to launch her own design firm, she remained committed to integrating her fervor for antiques into her design aesthetic.
Since that time, Melissa Levinson Antiques has grown into a business that now includes 2 showrooms. One, a 6000 square foot warehouse space that also serves as a desirable location for studio rentals. Also, a stunning showroom located in the popular furniture district on La Brea Ave. in the heart of Los Angeles.
An upcoming line of furniture now in production focuses on one-of-a-kind custom finishes done in house, exquisite hand carving, and the finest detailed work from artisans with whom she’s developed long-standing partnerships. Like everything Melissa creates, this furniture line will focus on the details—a perfect combination of breath-taking beauty, functionality and splendid comfort.
